As there is currently no contractual agreement in place with Assura for supplementary hospital insurance, clinic fees covered by this scheme are not reimbursed by the insurer and must be paid by the patient. This situation does not apply to basic health insurance (LAMal), which continues to be covered in accordance with the current terms and conditions.

Is Clinique Générale-Beaulieu a Concordia partner?

Yes. Concordia and Clinique Générale-Beaulieu have an agreement covering hospital services during your stay. Upon receipt of your file, our services will notify your insurer of your upcoming admission. The clinic will receive a decision from your insurance company regarding coverage of your hospitalisation costs. This means that following your stay, the clinic will issue its invoice to your insurer, who will pay the clinic directly (third-party payment system).

What about medical fees?

There is an industry agreement with Concordia for the pricing of medical fees. Provided that your doctor complies with the contractual rate, your insurance company will reimburse you in full for the fees (subject to any co-payment or excess). Your doctor will send the invoices for fees directly to your insurer (known as the third-party payment system). You will receive a copy.

What should I do?

Ask your doctors about their billing practices. If they comply with the existing industry agreement (Medicalculis model), your insurer will cover the full cost of the bills issued and you will not have to pay any costs yourself. If they bill for their services using a different model, their services must be subject to a prior estimate. In this case, your insurer may only cover part of the cost, or refuse to cover it at all.

Do I have to pay the costs up front?
