Over a hundred people attended the second edition of “Notte in Rosa,” mostly women who are facing or have faced breast cancer—An evening to set aside, at least for a few hours, treatments and fears and rediscover music, lightheartedness, and a sense of community—Psycho-oncologist Roberta Donzelli: “When you confront the idea of death, a desire to live bursts forth that is unparalleled.”
For one evening, pink wasn’t just the color of a battle. It became the color of lightheartedness, of raised glasses, of music, of people coming together, and—above all—of life going on. Even when one had to learn to come to terms with a diagnosis.
Over a hundred people attended the second edition of Notte in Rosa on Wednesday evening at Porto Bello, in Foce, Lugano. The event was organized by Centro Seno Ticino in collaboration with Clinica Sant’Anna, Affidea Brust Zentrum Ticino, Europa Donna of Italian-speaking Switzerland, and the Genolier Foundation. The evening was designed to raise awareness about breast cancer and to raise funds for projects and initiatives related to the fight against the disease.
