‘When we talk about depression, we often think of a condition linked to young age or adulthood. Yet older people also suffer from it significantly. In fact, about 20% of people over 65 have depressive symptoms, a percentage similar to that of young adults. The problem is that, in older people, depression manifests itself differently and often goes unnoticed.’
